Ashley Park Embraces Crocheting Passion, Gifts to Co-Stars
Ashley Park, known for her role in Emily in Paris, is opening up about her newfound passion for crocheting, describing it as a “nerdy” yet delightful hobby. At the premiere of the series’ fifth season on December 15 in Paris, Park referred to crocheting as her "Roman Empire."
"I just finished an emotional-support succulent for Lily [Collins] that I was going to give to her at the beginning of press," Park stated. "And I just, I’m already thinking about, I’ve already started mini projects for everybody. So currently, it’s that." She added, "It’s a little nerdy, but that is so cute."
On a December 8 episode of Good Morning America, Park shared that she has also crafted gifts for Collins’ baby, Tove Jane McDowell, and humorously remarked, "It looks like I’m starting an Etsy shop."
Additionally, during a recent appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, Park presented Barrymore with a crochet coaster adorned with daisies, praised by the host as "so beautiful."
The latest season of Emily in Paris, featuring Collins and Park alongside Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu and Lucas Bravo, debuted on Netflix on December 18, 2025. The show follows Emily Cooper, portrayed by Bravo, as she embarks on new adventures in Rome.
In conversations aboard the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express for the season’s celebration, Park and Collins discussed their offscreen friendship, highlighting the deep emotional connection they share. Collins described Park as "the only person I know that when she feels something, I feel it," emphasizing their unique empathy.
"The best part about our friendship is that we came into each other’s lives where neither of us needed anything from each other," Park added. "We could go weeks or minutes without talking. But I know that if I ever really need somebody or something — and even if I don’t know how to ask for it — she’s always there to offer. And vice versa."
Emily in Paris season 5 is currently streaming on Netflix.
