In the penultimate episode of Stranger Things 5, fans finally witness a long-awaited moment: the emotional reunion between Lucas, portrayed by Caleb McLaughlin, and Max, played by Sadie Sink. This pivotal scene occurs at the conclusion of Episode 6, titled "Escape from Camazotz," where Max emerges from a nearly two-year coma as she awakens in a hospital basement. Lucas had previously risked everything to save her from Vecna’s Demo dogs, and their heartfelt exchange marks a significant turning point in Max’s journey back to reality.

Addressing his upcoming viewing of the finale with fellow cast members, McLaughlin expressed a mix of anxiety and excitement. “I’m happy…but now it’s the last content I will see of the show. So it’s a weird feeling,” he shared.
When asked whether he had come to terms with the show’s conclusion, McLaughlin confidently stated, “All great things come to an end,” emphasizing his pride in being part of a series that has resonated with audiences throughout its run.
Reflecting on the emotional reunion between Lucas and Max, he noted that their time apart during filming heightened the authenticity of their scene. “You miss your friend when you’re on set,” McLaughlin commented, capturing the profound connection between the characters and the actors.
