Zoë Winters, Ravi V. Patel, Will Yun Lee, and Tony Macht Star in New Apple TV Series ‘The Off Weeks’
Zoë Winters, Tony Macht, Ravi V. Patel, and Will Yun Lee Join Cast of Apple TV’s ‘The Off Weeks’
In a significant casting announcement, actors Zoë Winters, Tony Macht, Ravi V. Patel, and Will Yun Lee have been selected for major recurring roles in The Off Weeks, an upcoming eight-episode limited series on Apple TV. The series stars and is executive produced by Jessica Chastain and Ben Stiller, with direction from Michael Showalter and showrunning by Alissa Nutting.
The Off Weeks centers on Gus Adler, portrayed by Stiller, whose life spirals into chaos after a divorce. He struggles to manage his responsibilities during the weeks when he has custody of his children while navigating a complicated romance with Stella West, played by Chastain. Stella’s arrival significantly complicates Gus’s life, blending his “on weeks” and “off weeks” in distressing ways.
Winters will take on the role of Jenny, Gus’s ex-wife. Macht will play Kel, Gus’s teaching assistant, while Patel is cast as Drew, Gus’s friend. Lee will portray Willy, Jenny’s new boyfriend.
They join a cast that already includes Arian Moayed, Annaleigh Ashford, Richard Gere, and John Cho. The series is produced by Red Hour and Freckle Films, in collaboration with Semi-Formal Productions and wiip. Executive producers include John Lesher, Kelly Carmichael, Paul Lee, and Gabriel Fisher, with Dean Bakopoulos also in the executive producer role.
Zoë Winters gained recognition for her breakout performance as Kerry on Succession and recently appeared in A24’s The Materialists. Upcoming projects include FX’s 7 Sisters and A24’s The Drama, where she will star alongside Robert Pattinson and Zendaya.
Tony Macht is set to return in season 3 of HBO’s The Comeback, which is set to premiere in March. He is known for his Broadway role in the Tony-award winning comedy Oh, Mary! and recently had a recurring role in FX’s Dying For Sex.
Ravi V. Patel stars in the Fox comedy Animal Control, which has been renewed for a fourth season. Additionally, he has appeared in Fox’s Lego Masters Jr. and will be featured in Season 4 of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.
Will Yun Lee, recognized for his role as Dr. Alex Park in The Good Doctor, is preparing for a film appearance alongside Matt Damon in Christopher Nolan’s highly anticipated project The Odyssey. His diverse television credits include Altered Carbon and True Blood, and his film work includes The Wolverine and San Andreas.
