Zane Lowe and BTS: Why Fans Believe an Interview is Coming Soon
Trending on Billboard
Speculation is mounting that BTS may be the next guests on Apple Music’s The Zane Lowe Show, as fans, known as ARMY, react enthusiastically to a recent video shared by host Zane Lowe.
On March 17, Lowe posted a video on his social media, sparking excitement within the BTS fan community. The clip features him in an empty dance studio, which contains only a basketball hoop. While some might see merely an empty space, ARMY views it as a significant clue hinting at an upcoming appearance by the globally celebrated group.
One fan commented, “No caption needed. For the room, those floors & that mirror! Wykyk!” while another fan account added, “I know what this means…… BTS INTERVIEW.”
Billboard has reached out to Apple Music for further details.
The studio featured in Lowe’s video is not just any space; it appears to be BTS’s practice room, known for its iconic presence in many of the group’s videos and photos over the years. A notable dance practice video from a previous iteration of the room has amassed over 172 million views on YouTube, indicating fans’ familiarity with the setting.
This clip arrives just days before BTS’s highly anticipated musical comeback following a years-long hiatus. The group announced their break in 2022 to focus on solo projects and fulfill South Korea’s mandatory military service. With all seven members completing their service last year, they reunited and confirmed plans for a return to music. In January, BTS announced that their fifth studio album, ARIRANG, will be released on March 20.
Alongside the album release, the band will perform its first concert since 2022 on March 21 at Seoul’s Gwanghwamun Square, which will be livestreamed on Netflix. The streaming platform will also premiere BTS: The Return, a documentary chronicling the band’s reunion and revival.
Another fan expressed optimism on Lowe’s Instagram, stating, “The most epic interviews are coming, and we’re putting our faith in our guys. Please show the world what BTS is all about, for those who don’t know.”
