Yung Miami Shares Her Thoughts on Supporting Diddy After His Trial: “I’ve Seen a Changed Person”
Yung Miami has emerged as one of the few prominent supporters of Diddy following his conviction on prostitution charges after a federal trial focused on sex trafficking and racketeering in 2025.
In a controversial decision, the former City Girls member submitted a letter advocating for leniency in sentencing for Diddy, with whom she had a romantic relationship from 2021 to 2023. She voiced her thoughts on the matter during a recent interview with Charlamagne Tha God on The Breakfast Club, asserting that she believed he was a “changed man” when they were together.
Yung Miami further clarified, “I can’t speak to nothing that I don’t know of. I can only speak to the person that I met. And if I met this person that changed my life, that helped me grow, that treated me like a queen, that made me believe [in] myself … I can only judge who I met. I can only judge who I was in a relationship with.”
Diddy was sentenced to four years in prison in October following a seven-week trial in which he was found guilty of transporting sex workers for personal parties. Despite this conviction, a jury did not find him guilty of more serious charges, including sex trafficking, which he consistently denied.
Prior to his sentencing, Yung Miami expressed her belief in a letter to the judge that Diddy was “not a danger or a threat to the community.” She noted that while she could not “condone any wrongdoing” from his past, her experiences with him revealed him to be “loving, genuine, supportive and always encouraging.”
During her interview on The Breakfast Club, Yung Miami reflected on the professional setbacks she faced due to her association with Diddy, as well as the evolution of their relationship amid emerging allegations against him. “You gotta look back and say, like, ‘What makes sense for me right now?’” she said. “I can love this person, but I can love this person from a distance, or no, I can have a relationship with this person, but maybe I gotta come back to it. Like, maybe I gotta come back around, and I think that this was one of those situations.”
