Yerin Ha from Bridgerton Steps into Her Fashion Journey
Australian actress Yerin Ha is stepping into the spotlight as the lead female love interest in the upcoming season of Bridgerton. The role promises to elevate her profile, following in the footsteps of previous stars like Phoebe Dynevor, Simone Ashley, and Nicola Coughlan. Ha is already showcasing her charm on the press tour.
During a recent appearance on The View alongside co-star Luke Thompson, Ha wore a striking white coat complemented by an over-the-shoulder scarf. The coat’s sculptural design offered a mix of windswept elegance and runway flair. Her peep-toe shoes—an emerging trend—along with a pink manicure and soft blush on her cheeks added subtle feminine touches, enhancing her role as the season’s darling.

Ha’s style was further highlighted at the season premiere event two weeks earlier, where she donned a stunning Prada gown. The robin’s egg blue dress, embellished with jewels and featuring a train, displayed a youthful glow reminiscent of iconic fashion moments, prompting comparisons to Princess Diana’s renowned appearances.

Ha’s swift rise in the industry parallels her character’s arc this season, inspired by Cinderella. In this adaptation, the maid encounters her wealthy counterpart at a masked ball, presenting a unique challenge for the show’s makeup designer, Nic Collins. Collins shared insights into the makeup process, particularly the focus on lips given the disguise: “Obviously, you lose the eyes behind a mask, so we had to think about how you’re still going to have the light reflecting through the eyes. Even just putting the little rose to the balm on her lips…Yerin’s got such beautiful lips. Just that little bit of makeup that pops, the flush of the cheek. We really focused on the lips so that they really popped out with this sparkling mask.”
To achieve the desired lip effect, Collins utilized the Clinique Chubby Sticks for their sheer quality and vibrant color, layering them to enhance Ha’s natural features. Her technique aimed to subtly accentuate her lips, ensuring they stood out in the visual narrative of the story.
