White House Shares Playful Image of Trump as British 007 During James Bond Casting
The search for the next James Bond has officially begun, and former President Donald Trump seems eager to revive his past on-screen appearances.
On Saturday, the White House responded to news that casting director Nina Gold, known for her work on The Force Awakens, Game of Thrones, and The Crown, has initiated auditions for the iconic role. The post featured an image of Trump’s head superimposed onto Bond’s body, along with his signature “Make America Great Again” slogan, despite the character’s established identity as a British Secret Service agent.
This announcement follows Amazon MGM Studios’ disclosure on Thursday that “The search for the next James Bond is underway. While we don’t plan to comment on specific details during the casting process, we’re excited to share more news with 007 fans as soon as the time is right.”

Last June, Amazon MGM Studios appointed Denis Villeneuve to direct the next installment of the franchise, with Steven Knight announced as the film’s writer. This marks a continuation of the studio’s collaboration with longtime producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, alongside executive producer Tanya Lapointe.
Daniel Craig last portrayed James Bond in Casino Royale (2006), Quantum of Solace (2008), Skyfall (2012), Spectre (2015), and No Time to Die (2021), following a legacy of earlier Bond actors including Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, and Pierce Brosnan.
