As the first full week of April comes to a close, the music scene is vibrant with new releases from artists including Lady Gaga and Doechii, along with KATSEYE and others, offering fans an array of fresh tracks.
On Friday, April 10, Lady Gaga and Doechii unveiled their first collaboration, titled “Runway.” The single, set to feature on the soundtrack of the forthcoming Devil Wears Prada 2, is a stylish anthem co-written by Bruno Mars that exudes a chic and sassy vibe sure to impress even Miranda Priestly.
In another notable release, KATSEYE introduced “Pinky Up,” a track that marks the band’s most experimental effort to date. The release comes at a bittersweet moment, as the group is currently a five-member ensemble with Manon on hiatus. However, Daniela, Lara, Megan, Yoonchae, and Sophia showcased their resilience, blending techno and hyperpop into their energetic new single.
Additionally, The Strokes have debuted “Going Shopping,” ahead of their new album Reality Awaits, which will be their first LP in six years. Both The Strokes and KATSEYE are set to perform at Coachella from April 10-12.
Further enriching the musical landscape, Alabama Shakes returned with “American Dream,” while Tiny Habits released “Right in Front of Me.”
