Waymo Vehicle Crashes into Parked Cars in Echo Park
LOS ANGELES – A Waymo van crashed into at least two parked cars in the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. The incident occurred while the vehicle was in manual mode, operated by an autonomous specialist.
According to Waymo, the specialist was driving manually when the vehicle veered off the roadway, resulting in a collision with several parked cars. At the time of the crash, no injuries were reported, and only the driver was present in the vehicle. Remarkably, two bystanders were narrowly missed.
The circumstances of the crash are currently under investigation.
