Valentino Garavani, the celebrated fashion designer, died on January 19 at the age of 93. According to a statement from his foundation, Garavani passed away at his home in Rome, surrounded by his loved ones.
The statement provided details regarding his farewell events, noting that the lying in state will be observed at PM23, located at Piazza Mignanelli 23, on January 21 and 22, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Additionally, the funeral service is set for January 23 at the Basilica Santa Maria degli Angeli e dei Martiri in Piazza della Repubblica 8, Rome, at 11 AM.
Garavani’s influence extended far into popular culture, with numerous celebrities, including Princess Diana, Elizabeth Taylor, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, and Dua Lipa, among his loyal clientele. His fashion legacy is also marked by his longstanding relationship with Jackie Kennedy, who served as one of his muses.
