Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats Release New Single Ahead of Upcoming Album
Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats have announced the release of their latest single, “Don’t Let It Control You,” which precedes a new album expected in 2026.
The track showcases a robust rock sound reminiscent of influential bands like Queens of the Stone Age and the Stooges, albeit through a distinctively hazy filter inspired by Black Sabbath. Accompanying the single is a B-side titled “Don’t Let It Control You Part II,” which presents a slowed-down version featuring acoustic guitar, harp, and Wurlitzer piano.
A physical release of the single is scheduled for May 29 through Killer Candy Records. This marks the band’s first 7” single since their 2016 release of “Pusher Man,” taken from the 2015 album The Night Creeper.
In tandem with the single launch, Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats will embark on a European tour spanning June and July, followed by a November tour in the UK. The European dates will feature support from Dirty Sound Magnet or Rezn on select shows, while the UK tour will see performances alongside The Wytches.
"Don’t Let It Control You" is accompanied by a music video filmed using Super 8 film by Tinnitus Productions, adding to the single’s unique aesthetic.
