Two Women Arrested in Southern California Counterfeit Scheme Involving In-N-Out
Two Long Beach Women Arrested for Using Counterfeit Money at In-N-Out Restaurants
GLENDALE, Calif. – Two individuals from Long Beach have been arrested for allegedly circulating counterfeit $100 bills at multiple In-N-Out Burger locations across Los Angeles and Orange counties, as confirmed by the Glendale Police Department.
Auriona Lewis, 24, and Tatiyanna Foster, 26, are accused of defrauding around a dozen restaurants before they were identified via surveillance footage and investigative efforts, which included executing search warrants.
The investigation commenced after a report of counterfeit activity at an In-N-Out location in Glendale on October 21, 2025. Detectives soon discovered that the incidents were part of a broader scheme affecting numerous establishments in the area.
In collaboration with In-N-Out’s security team, officers reviewed video evidence leading to the identification of Lewis and Foster as primary suspects. Investigators recovered counterfeit bills and other evidence linking the pair to the fraudulent operations.
On October 30, 2025, a task force including Glendale detectives and U.S. Marshals apprehended Lewis in Palmdale, where she was found with counterfeit currency, gift cards, and transaction receipts. Foster was later arrested on December 15, 2025, after voluntarily surrendering at the Glendale Police Department.
Lewis was charged with felony counterfeiting and grand theft in November and has pleaded not guilty. She is scheduled to appear in court in Pasadena on January 20, 2026, for a hearing to determine whether there is sufficient evidence for a trial. Lewis has since been released from custody.
In contrast, charges have not yet been filed against Foster, who remains incarcerated without bail due to a potential probation violation related to a previous burglary case.
The Glendale Police Department continues to encourage businesses that suspect similar schemes to report them promptly.
