Two Dead Following Police Chase in Pomona
POMONA, Calif. – A high-speed police pursuit culminated in tragedy late Wednesday night when a fleeing suspect collided with another vehicle, resulting in the deaths of two individuals inside, authorities confirmed.
The incident unfolded shortly after 9:30 p.m. in the 400 block of East 10th Street. Officers were interviewing a domestic violence victim when the suspect, identified as 31-year-old Marshall Judson, drove a black Dodge pickup truck back to the scene. Judson allegedly rammed a parked patrol car before fleeing the area at high speed.
Police later pursued Judson, whose reckless driving led to a crash with a silver Ford sedan at the intersection of South Garey Avenue and County Road. The impact was severe, and both occupants of the Ford were pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel.
Judson was apprehended shortly after the collision. Authorities recovered a firearm from his vehicle, and he now faces multiple felony charges, including vehicular manslaughter, assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer, felony evasion, DUI, and several firearm-related offenses.
The identities and details regarding the victims remain undisclosed as efforts continue by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner to notify their families.
Pomona police are actively investigating the incident and are appealing to the public for additional witnesses to come forward.
