### President Trump Sends Urgent Fundraising Email Amid Rising Concerns
On January 13, 2026, President Donald Trump sent an unusual fundraising email to his supporters, stirring significant attention and debate. The email, which arrived just after midnight, featured the subject line, “I’m alone and in the dark.”
In the correspondence, Trump, 79, expressed his pressing concerns about the upcoming midterm elections, noting that failing to meet a fundraising goal might jeopardize the “MAGA Movement.” He emphatically stated, “I’m dead serious: miss this goal and the MAGA Movement crumbles.”
Political commentator Harry Sisson shared screenshots of the email on social media, where they quickly amassed over 1.4 million views. The email begins with a dramatic tone: “Some people are saying: This is SAD!” Trump followed this with a personal touch, mentioning, “I’m sitting here. Alone. In the war room. Fighting for you,” and described the urgency of a “72-hour countdown clock” indicating the approaching deadline for fundraising.
The president raised alarms about the potential political implications if the fundraising goal was not met. He warned that the “radical Left” could flip both the House and Senate in 2026, leading to policies he vehemently opposes, including “open borders…confiscating firearms” and, alarmingly, making “your kids brainwashed.”
Further emphasizing the stakes, Trump stated, “And worst of all your favorite President (ME!) might just go through another FAKE impeachment!” He depicted the Democrats as spending “BILLIONS” to undermine his supporters and called for “a small sacrifice from every red-blooded American who wants to save the country!”
The email solicited donations of $47, promoting a “limited-edition 2026 Trump Calendar,” while stressing that the offer was “nothing compared to losing the country.” A prominent button in the email urged, “This is it. No second chances.”
As the email concluded, Trump conveyed a sense of urgency and desperation, claiming, “The woke mind virus is infiltrating more and more Americans every day. This could be our last chance!”
The timing of this communication is notable, arriving just a day before Trump’s interview with Reuters, during which he suggested that the upcoming midterms could be canceled altogether. He remarked, “It’s some deep psychological thing, but when you win the presidency, you don’t win the midterms,” further asserting that his second term had gone so smoothly that “we shouldn’t even have an election.”
These comments were highlighted against a backdrop of shifting political tides, with reports from The Lincoln Project indicating that 18 House races had recently moved in favor of Democrats and that control of the Senate might also be at stake.
Following the interview, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt sought to clarify Trump’s remarks, asserting that he was “joking” about canceling elections and that he was “speaking facetiously.”
However, Trump’s dismissal of electoral norms aligns with his ongoing references to a potential third term, an idea at odds with constitutional limitations. His actions have also included the sale of “TRUMP 2028” merchandise, further fueling speculation about his ambitions.
### Summary
President Trump’s recent fundraising email not only underscores his urgency as the 2026 midterm elections approach but also reflects ongoing tensions within U.S. politics, as he navigates the challenges posed by potential shifts in power and important electoral processes.
