The USWNT forward, 23, shared a touching tribute to her boyfriend Ben Shelton on Instagram on New Year’s Eve, concluding the year with a romantic photo and an affectionate message.
In her post, Rodman reflected, “2025 you were somethin… thank you for bringing me my soulmate❤️ @benshelton,” expressing her gratitude for their relationship.

The shared image showcases the Grand Slam champion, who embraces Rodman as they share a kiss beneath fairy lights at the wedding of her teammate Tara McKeown in mid-December. Rodman wore a green, open-back, floor-length gown and styled her hair elegantly for the occasion, while Shelton was in a white button-down shirt and black pants.
The couple first made their relationship known in March 2025 through an affectionate Instagram post, following brief speculation about their relationship sparked by TikTok videos. Rodman later confirmed their status during an appearance on ESPN’s SportsCenter, stating, “So, yeah, I’m obviously very happy, and hopefully some of the world’s happy. It’s in the public eye, so I can’t really do much about that.”

Despite their public displays of affection, the couple chooses to keep the details of how they met private, with tennis star Frances Tiafoe humorously alluding to being the reason for their connection. “I don’t know if I want everyone to know the story [of how we met], but I can assure you Frances [Tiafoe] was not the reason we met or got together,” Rodman commented, expressing amusement over Tiafoe’s remark.
