Travis Scott is reflecting on the profound impact of fatherhood in a recent interview. The 34-year-old rapper shared insights on how raising daughter Stormi, 7, and son Aire, 3—his children with ex-partner Kylie Jenner—has transformed his perspective and priorities.
“You can’t crash out. You can’t do a lot of crazy s— like you would,” Scott stated, highlighting the seriousness with which he approaches parenting.
He also expressed a sense of surprise regarding how similar his children are to him, particularly in their capacity for creativity and new ideas. “My kids are just like me when it comes to trying to get off ideas,” Scott explained, recalling a moment at a Disney Imagineering spot that sparked his son’s imagination. “My son’s 3 now, about to be 4…when he saw the robots and all the new tech and how it’s built, his mind was just going off.”
While embracing new technology is a part of their upbringing, Scott made it clear that he is wary of artificial intelligence. “My kids don’t have AI,” he said. “Having AI right now will compress their ability for their brain to maximize.” He believes that understanding traditional learning methods is crucial before introducing AI into their lives. “If it’s doing everything for you, how do you even know what’s right or wrong?” he added.
Scott’s insights come after a heartwarming moment during a concert in Tokyo last November, where he brought Stormi onstage. The young girl delighted the crowd as she danced and wore headphones, a graphic T-shirt, and a fur coat. She even performed a line from her father’s lyrics, capturing the audience’s attention.

Scott has previously detailed his parenting approach, describing it as more “natural” in past interviews. He emphasized the importance of instilling a sense of self-discipline in his children, sharing, “We try to do a more natural vibe [with parenting], like more self-discipline.”
The rapper and Jenner officially parted ways again in late 2022 but continue to co-parent their two children, maintaining a focus on nurturing their shared values as parents.
