Passenger Falls to Death from Carnival Cruise Ship

A tragic incident occurred Monday morning aboard a Carnival Cruise Line ship, resulting in the death of a female passenger, the company confirmed.

The Carnival Firenze, while near Catalina Island, witnessed the passenger fall from the balcony of her stateroom, landing on a deck below. The woman was traveling with family members, who promptly notified the crew of her fall.

“All appropriate authorities have been alerted,” a spokesperson for Carnival stated. “As is customary, law enforcement will board the ship today on Catalina Island to conduct the required investigation.” The cause of the fall remains unclear at this time.

Carnival also extended condolences, adding, “Carnival’s Care Team is supporting the guest’s family, and our thoughts and prayers are with them and their loved one.” The identity of the deceased has not been disclosed.
