Tracker Is Back for Season 4 on CBS
CBS has announced the renewal of Tracker for a fourth season, ensuring that Colter Shaw will tackle more missing persons cases. This decision was officially revealed by the network on Thursday, alongside several other renewals.
As the top-rated procedural on broadcast television, Tracker continues to attract a significant audience. The Season 3 premiere garnered 17 million viewers over 35 days of multi-platform viewing, a number that is nearly identical to Season 2’s average of 17.34 million. While the series often builds its audience over time, the bulk of viewership is typically accumulated during the initial week of release, indicating a strong and loyal fanbase.
Based on Jeffery Deaver’s bestselling novel The Never Game, Tracker features Justin Hartley in the role of Colter Shaw, a solitary survivalist who travels across the country as a reward seeker. His expert tracking abilities help both private citizens and law enforcement in solving various mysteries, all while he grapples with his own complicated family dynamics.
When Season 3 premieres on March 1, Colter will confront difficult truths about his family history. After uncovering shocking revelations, he must move forward with the assistance of his team, focusing on his core mission: using his instincts and survival skills to locate the missing and secure rewards.
Hartley serves as an executive producer alongside Ken Olin, Elwood Reid, Connie Dolphin, Sharon Lee Watson, and Alex Katsnelson, with 20th Television as the production studio.
The renewal of Tracker coincides with the announcement of new seasons for other scripted series such as Matlock, Elsbeth, Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, as well as the NCIS franchise, and unscripted series like Survivor and The Amazing Race.
