Timothy Simons’ Hair Change in Season 3: The Story Behind the Decision by the ‘Nobody Wants This’ Team
Timothy Simons’ New Hair Inspires Plot Twist in Season 3 of Nobody Wants This
The upcoming season of Nobody Wants This is set to mirror reality as actor Timothy Simons embraces his recent hair transformation. As the series prepares for its third season, Simons revealed that his platinum blond hair will become a significant plot element for his character, Sasha.
While promoting the new season, Simons shared that the show’s writers decided to incorporate his new look after he dyed his hair “for fun” in anticipation of the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards. “All the writers saw it that night and wrote it into the show,” Simons told People. “We’re shooting right now, so there’s no way to hide it. They didn’t tell me to wear a hat.”
The actor expressed enthusiasm for his new hairstyle, stating, “Honestly, I love it. I would let it grow all the way out, and it gave me a good excuse to keep it going.”
In the narrative, Sasha’s relationship with Esther, portrayed by Jackie Tohn, is at a pivotal juncture following her declaration in the Season 2 finale that she wishes to separate and focus on herself. The character’s shift to blond hair appears fitting for a newly unattached middle-aged man navigating this change.
Production for Season 3 began last month in Los Angeles. The show’s creator, Erin Foster, is now part of the cast, which also includes newcomers Sarah Silverman, Andrew Rannells, Keyla Monterroso Mejia, Avan Jogia, Poorna Jagannathan, Sadie Sandler, Stephanie Koenig, and Steven Weber.
