Tijuana Police Apprehend Three U.S. Fugitives After Sharing Key Information
Tijuana Authorities Detain Three Suspects in Separate Operations
Mexican authorities announced the capture of two suspected murderers and one thief in Tijuana during separate operations within a 24-hour period. According to officials, these individuals were apprehended after crossing the border to evade legal repercussions in the United States.
The Interinstitutional Liaison and International Relations Coordination of the State Citizen Security Force (FESC) reported that the arrests were made possible by collaborative information sharing between U.S. and Mexican law enforcement agencies.
In the first operation, state agents located 41-year-old Álvaro “N” from Ventura, California, in the Zona Centro neighborhood. His arrest occurred at the intersection of Salvador Díaz Mirón and Fourth streets. Álvaro “N” is wanted in connection with a shooting on February 15, 2025, in Oxnard, California, which resulted in the death of a man from multiple gunshot wounds to the head, according to an FBI wanted poster.
The second operation targeted a 17-year-old California resident, who was also wanted for homicide, in the Zona Urbana Ejido Matamoros neighborhood. Additionally, 29-year-old Daniel “N” from Los Angeles was arrested for robbery.
Authorities indicated that all three suspects were discovered in possession of packets of marijuana. They have been transferred to the Mexican Attorney General’s Office (FGE) and will be deported to the United States to address pending criminal charges once their legal status is clarified.
