The Miniature Wife with Elizabeth Banks and Matthew Macfadyen Announces Premiere Date and First Teaser Released
Peacock Announces Premiere Date for The Miniature Wife
Peacock has unveiled a first-look teaser and confirmed an April 9 premiere date for The Miniature Wife, a new series starring and executive produced by Elizabeth Banks and Matthew Macfadyen.
Based on a short story by Manuel Gonzales, The Miniature Wife is described as a dramedy that explores the complexities of marital dynamics following a technological mishap that leads to a dramatic shift in a couple’s relationship.
In this narrative, Macfadyen and Banks portray Les and Lindy, a couple grappling with a crisis that pits them against the challenges of maintaining their marriage after Les unintentionally shrinks Lindy down to six inches tall. This unique premise adds an intriguing layer to the relationship drama.
The cast also features O-T Fagbenle, Zoe Lister-Jones, Sian Clifford, and Sofia Rosinsky as series regulars, with Ronny Chieng, Aasif Mandvi, Rong Fu, and Tricia Black in recurring roles.
Creators and showrunners Jennifer Ames and Steve Turner, known for Boardwalk Empire and Goliath, will executive produce alongside Michael Aguilar and Suzanne Heathcote, the latter having worked on The Crowded Room and Killing Eve. Greg Mottola, recognized for his work on Superbad and The Daytrippers, directs and executive produces the series, produced by Media Res.
