The Boys Season 5 Teaser: Premiere Date and a Special Reunion at CCXP Brazil
The acclaimed series The Boys is set to conclude as Prime Video reveals the premiere date and teaser for its fifth and final season.
At a panel on Saturday during the CCXP event in São Paulo, Brazil, the streaming platform announced that the anticipated final season from Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios will debut on April 8, 2026, with a two-episode premiere, culminating in a series finale on May 20, 2026.
The final season portrays a world dominated by Homelander (Antony Starr), whose unpredictable and narcissistic behavior creates chaos. Hughie (Jack Quaid), Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso), and Frenchie (Tomer Capone) find themselves imprisoned in a ‘Freedom Camp.’ Meanwhile, Annie (Erin Moriarty) struggles to lead a resistance against the overwhelming Super force, and Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) is mysteriously absent. The tension escalates when Butcher (Karl Urban) reappears, armed with a virus aimed at eliminating all Supes. His return promises earth-shattering changes for the characters and their world.

The teaser also highlights the return of Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy, who is currently in a cryogenic state, along with the introduction of Jared Padalecki‘s undisclosed character. This marks a reunion from Supernatural with creator Eric Kripke.
Kripke was joined onstage by Moriarty, Alonso, Fukuhara, Capone, and Colby Minifie during the announcement.
The spin-off series Gen V has recently wrapped up its second season, which paves the way for The Boys finale. However, the animated series The Boys Presents: Diabolical is not expected to receive a second season. Additionally, Paul Grellong is set to serve as showrunner for the upcoming prequel series Vought Rising, while Diego Luna and Gael García Bernal are executive producing The Boys: Mexico, which is written by Blue Beetle writer Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer.
