The Anthem Hotel Opens Its Doors with Style
Inglewood’s Newest Hotel Alight with Eventful Experiences
Inglewood has welcomed a new lifestyle hotel designed to enhance the experience of concert and sports event attendees. The Anthem Los Angeles Stadium District, part of the Tapestry by Hilton brand, opened its doors in February, just in time for major events such as the NBA All-Star Game and concerts by artists like Lady Gaga.
Originally built in 1961 as the Lüm Hotel and previously the Airport Park View Hotel, the property has undergone significant renovations following a change in ownership. It now features 179 modernized rooms and suites adorned with vibrant artwork celebrating music, blackout shades, workspaces, high-speed Wi-Fi, and spacious bathrooms equipped with Gilchrist & Soames amenities.
Hotel guests can take advantage of amenities including a large pool and hot tub, complemented by the Soundwave Pool Bar, which boasts a colorful mural inspired by soundwaves echoing from nearby stadiums. The Stage rooftop provides breathtaking skyline views, along with cocktails and live performances. Additional facilities include a fitness center, the Backstage event space, and Tom’s Watch Bar, which serves as the hotel’s food and beverage partner.
Highlighting its local sports culture, the Anthem offers a Homecourt Suite inspired by Los Angeles basketball history, particularly the NBA All-Star Weekend. This curated space features sports memorabilia and vintage decor, celebrating the legacy of the L.A. Clippers.
In anticipation of the Lady Gaga concert, the hotel transformed its interiors with red balloon decorations and collaborated with Vinyl Wellness to create a pre-party experience showcasing bedazzled makeup, colored hair extensions, and various photo opportunities, all set to a soundtrack of Lady Gaga’s music.
Looking ahead, the Anthem has planned a year-long array of programming and activities aligned with upcoming events at the Stadium District, which is poised to host the summer’s 2026 FIFA World Cup, the 2027 Super Bowl LXI, and the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Erron Halen, senior operating partner at Tom’s Watch Bar, praised the Inglewood location, considering it ideal for the brand’s 19th venue. The bar has successfully operated since 2014 at Downtown’s L.A. Live and now offers elevated game day favorites, beer, wine, and craft cocktails, with sporting events broadcast on multiple screens.
“The Anthem isn’t just near the action, it’s part of it,” noted hotel general manager Stephen Chavez. “Here, events start and end at The Anthem, where the crowd becomes the atmosphere itself: a sea of fans in jerseys, tie-dye, and festive glam. It’s an energy unlike what other places can offer.”
