Telemundo’s Exciting 2026-2027 Unscripted Lineup: ‘House of Villains’ Adaptation, Natalia Téllez as Host of ‘Operación Triunfo,’ and More from ‘Casa De Los Famosos’
Telemundo is set to enhance its slate of unscripted programming for the 2026-2027 season, featuring a lineup that includes returning favorites like La Casa de los Famosos, Exatlón Estados Unidos, and Top Chef VIP. New entries to the schedule will include the singing competition Operación Triunfo and an adaptation of Peacock’s House of Villains.
For many Latino viewers, live content is more than just entertainment; it serves as a means of connection across generations and distances. Telemundo’s reality shows not only foster daily engagement but also stimulate social conversations and cross-platform viewing, creating a multiplatform ecosystem that encourages audience loyalty.
Building on the popularity of La Casa de los Famosos, Telemundo is introducing Operación Triunfo, which will air this summer, hosted by Natalia Téllez. Additionally, a working title adaptation called Juego de Villanos will feature reality stars competing under one roof to determine who is the most villainous.
“It’s not about a TV show… it’s more of a community. I think this is an opportunity for us to keep growing and bring people, not only to our screen, but to our ecosystem,” said Santucho, who joined Telemundo earlier this year. He emphasized that while the network has successful existing formats, there is a vision to pioneer new trends moving forward. “It’s those shows that we have to start pushing now at some point [as] we are in the position we can create trends now,” he remarked.
Telemundo’s unscripted lineup for the upcoming season includes:
La Casa de los Famosos Season 7: The acclaimed reality show returns with a new cast of celebrities living in complete isolation. Viewers will have access to a 24/7 livestream, offering an unfiltered look at the dynamics of alliances and rivalries as audiences ultimately decide the winner.
Top Chef VIP: This culinary competition features celebrities judged by three esteemed Latino chefs. Hosted by actress Carmen Villalobos, contestants will showcase their culinary skills under pressure while vying for a grand prize of $200,000.
Exatlón Estados Unidos: The network’s longest-running reality series returns for its 11th season, pushing elite athletes to their physical and mental limits through challenging circuits and competitions until one is crowned champion.
Operación Triunfo Estados Unidos: In this global music competition hosted by Natalia Téllez, young artists will live and train at an academy while competing in live gala concerts. Contestants will be guided by judges and mentors as they strive for a professional music career.
Juego de Villanos (Working Title): This adaptation of House of Villains assembles notorious figures from Spanish-language reality television in a competition centered on strategy and conflict. Contestants must navigate alliances and challenges to avoid elimination and claim the title of the ultimate "Supervillain."
