New Additions to Taylor Sheridan’s Frisco King Cast
The cast of Taylor Sheridan’s upcoming series Frisco King is expanding with the announcement of Asa Germann, Kai Caster, Lilah Pate, and Savanna Gann as series regulars. They will join Samuel L. Jackson, who is both the lead and an executive producer of the show.
Christina Alexandra Voros and Michael Friedman, long-time collaborators with Sheridan, will direct several episodes, with Voros helming the pilot.
Set to unfold in Frisco, Texas, Frisco King is a spinoff of Tulsa King, with Sheridan writing all eight episodes. While plot details remain undisclosed, Jackson’s character Russell Lee Washington Jr. was introduced in the third season of Tulsa King, which premiered on Paramount+ in September. Production is slated to commence later this month in Fort Worth, Texas.
Character Details
Germann takes on the role of Teddy, a savvy college dropout with entrepreneurial aspirations who captures Lee’s attention. Caster will portray Keith, a courteous valet working at the local Sandman Hotel. Pate brings to life London, a local cheerleader who uses her looks to get ahead, and Gann will play Avery, London’s friend and fellow cheerleader, also recruited to Lee’s team.
Production and Executive Team
The series is produced by Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios, with executive production credits shared among Sheridan, Sylvester Stallone, and Jackson, alongside David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Voros, Friedman, LaTanya Richardson Jackson, and Keith Cox.
Cast Backgrounds
Asa Germann is recognized for his role in The Boys: Gen V and will also appear in Scream 7. Kai Caster is slated to appear in Prime Video’s Spider-Noir and the horror film Halloween Store, and he recently had a recurring role on Yellowstone. Lilah Pate’s recent work includes The Runarounds, and she has appearances in Outer Banks and The Summer I Turned Pretty. Savanna Gann was last seen in the FX series English Teacher and will soon feature in the Jay Duplass-directed film See You When I See You.
As the production gears up, the addition of these actors marks a significant moment for Frisco King, which aims to broaden Sheridan’s cinematic universe.
