Tara Lipinski from The Traitors Shares Her Favorite Thayers Skincare Tips for Radiant Winter Skin
Tara Lipinski Shares Skincare Secrets Ahead of Milan Olympics
Former Olympic figure skater Tara Lipinski, 43, recently opened up about her skincare routine in a candid interview. Featured in Us Weekly, Lipinski discussed her partnership with Thayers, specifically highlighting their Milky Moisturizer, which she credits for giving her skin a dewy glow.
"I’ve used Thayers before, but for the last couple of months, I’ve been using them strictly, and I am now 100 percent hooked," Lipinski stated. She attributed her skincare focus to the harsh effects of dry weather and cold conditions on her skin, particularly from skating. "So I’ve been loving using their products and their toner," she added.
With her return to the Olympic stage as a commentator at the upcoming 2026 Games in Milan, Lipinski made sure to bring her Milky Moisturizer along. "I’ll use it without makeup, and then I use it before I put on all of my makeup," she shared, emphasizing its importance in her daily routine.
In addition to the Milky Moisturizer, Lipinski relies on Thayers’ Day Cleanser, which she says is gentle yet effective. "There are so few cleansers I can find that clean my skin without irritating it," she remarked, noting that it effectively removes makeup and dirt without stripping her skin of moisture.
Reflecting on her skincare evolution, Lipinski described herself as a "skincare junkie" and mentioned how, over the years, she has found products that genuinely work for her skin. As she navigates aging, she has become increasingly aware of how cold weather impacts her complexion. "I just feel like being in the cold weather, I’ve always tried to really moisturize and hydrate, just because that’s where I live my life," she explained.
In a humorous revelation, Lipinski shared an unusual tip for combating dry or irritated skin. When faced with redness, she turns to zinc oxide diaper paste, which she claims can transform the skin overnight. "If my skin is ever really red or irritated, I will use the zinc oxide [paste] and it transforms your skin overnight," she said.
Sunscreen is also a staple in Lipinski’s regimen. She consistently applies it to her face, neck, and hands every day, and takes extra precautions during nail treatments with UV lamps by wearing gloves.
Aside from skincare, Lipinski is making her mark on reality television. She is currently featuring in the fourth season of The Traitors, a murder mystery game hosted by Alan Cumming. Lipinski compared the psychological pressure of the game to her experiences as an athlete, underscoring how both require distinct strategies for success. "The pressure of an Olympic Games is unlike any type of pressure there is," she noted.
Lipinski and her strategic partner, Johnny Weir, have been careful to disguise their long-standing friendship during the competition. "We put a lot of thought into [pretending not to be close]," she explained, highlighting their calculated approach to gameplay.
As she prepares for the Olympics, Lipinski’s commitment to skincare and her competitive spirit continue to shine through in every endeavor she undertakes.
