Sydney Sweeney recently shared insights from her experience on the set of *Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood*, highlighting a lesson she learned from co-star Brad Pitt.
In an interview with *Cosmopolitan* for the magazine’s 2026 Love Issue, Sweeney expressed admiration for Pitt’s kindness towards crew members during their time working together. This behavior left a lasting impact on her.
Sweeney recounted a specific instance, stating, “I remember on the set of *Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood,* I watched Brad Pitt sit and hang out with the transpo department. I absolutely loved that, and I was like, ‘Yeah, you have to respect everybody in your life.’ “
She emphasized that this moment embodies her core values. “I’ve always led with love. I’ve always believed that love is love in every single form. You should be kind to whoever you meet,” she said.

In *Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood*, Sweeney played a member of the Manson Family, alongside Pitt, who portrayed stuntman Cliff Booth, and Leonardo DiCaprio, starring as actor Rick Dalton. The film, set in the late 1960s, exposes the challenges faced by its characters as they adapt to a transformative Hollywood landscape.
Other actors featuring in the film include Mikey Madison, Margaret Qualley, Austin Butler, Maya Hawke, and Victoria Pedretti, all of whom captured attention with their performances. Sweeney’s portrayal came in a pivotal year for her, coinciding with her notable role in *Euphoria*, where she played the complex character Cassie Howard.
While discussing her career, Sweeney reflected on how her role as Cassie has influenced public perception. “It’s definitely not a comfortable thing to have people saying what you believe or think, especially when that doesn’t align with you,” she noted. “It’s been a weird thing having to navigate and digest, because it’s not me. None of it is me.”
She further elaborated that the scrutiny surrounding her characters often leads to misinterpretations of her true self. “It’s definitely gone to a level where it’s just not healthy for me to digest it all,” Sweeney added, expressing a desire to move past the narrative that paints her as a “hateful person.”
