The 2025 season marked a record-breaking year for SNF, averaging a Total Audience Delivery of 23.5 million viewers—its highest annual viewership to date. This figure surpasses the previous record of 22.6 million set in the 2015 season by nearly 1 million viewers and represents a 9% increase from last season’s average of 21.6 million, based on official Nielsen Big Data + Panel and digital data from Adobe Analytics.
The championship clash between the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers came down to the wire, with the Steelers emerging victorious, 26-24. Viewership peaked at 27.5 million during the second quarter (9:15-9:30 p.m. ET), before an average of 26.1 million viewers tuned in for the game’s final moments (11:30-11:35 p.m. ET).
Throughout the season, a record eight SNF games attracted over 25 million viewers each, while the streaming segment also set records, achieving an Average Minute Audience of 2.5 million viewers, led by Peacock, according to NBC, Nielsen, and digital data from Adobe Analytics.

NBC’s Sunday Night Football will culminate its 20th season with Super Bowl LX, scheduled for February 8 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. This event precedes the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games, which will also be broadcast live during prime time. This will mark NBC’s 21st Super Bowl, featuring live streaming coverage on Peacock and a Spanish-language broadcast on Telemundo.
