Stellan Skarsgård and Dakota Fanning Star Together in Apple TV’s New Thriller Series by Alex Cary
Following his Oscar-nominated performance alongside Elle Fanning in *Sentimental Value*, Stellan Skarsgård is set to star opposite Dakota Fanning in an upcoming thriller drama for Apple TV. This untitled series, produced by Alex Cary and Sony Pictures Television, features Dakota Fanning in the leading role, with Elle Fanning serving as an executive producer.
In the series, Dakota Fanning portrays an undercover Treasury agent embedded within a multibillion-dollar international conglomerate. As she navigates a web of political and criminal intrigue, she grapples with conflicting emotions about her mission when she believes that her principal target, the conglomerate’s heir apparent, is fundamentally a good person deserving of her affection.
Skarsgård will take on the role of Brandt, the head of the international conglomerate.

Alex Cary serves as the showrunner and executive producer through his FLW Productions banner, following an overall deal with Sony Pictures TV. Julie Gardner executive produces for Bad Wolf America, alongside Dakota and Elle Fanning and Brittany Kahan Ward of Lewellen Pictures. Kari Skogland will also serve as an executive producer and director for the series.
Skarsgård previously received a Golden Globe and an Academy Award nomination for his portrayal of a fading film director and estranged father in *Sentimental Value*. The veteran Swedish actor also executive produced the Norwegian film, which won the Grand Prix at Cannes and the Oscar for International Feature Film. His recent credits include the *Dune* franchise and Disney+’s *Andor*. He is represented by CAA and Curtis Brown Group.
