Sophie Turner is poised for a transformative year as she approaches her milestone 30th birthday next month. The actress, who turns 30 in February, shared her thoughts on this major life transition during an appearance on CBS Mornings on January 7.
During the interview, co-host Gayle King acknowledged Turner’s recent high-profile divorce from Joe Jonas, highlighting the life changes she has navigated. “I’m wondering how you’re feeling about it,” King inquired, noting that Turner is now a mother of two and has emerged from a challenging year.
Turner confirmed her journey through these life changes. She was married to Jonas for four years before he filed for divorce in September 2023. Following the split, she was involved in a legal dispute concerning their daughters’ passports; however, she eventually dismissed the lawsuit, and the couple reached a settlement in September 2024.

As Turner reflects on her past and anticipates the future, King complimented her on her evident resilience. “You really do seem to be thriving,” King said. “As you get ready to turn 30, what do you think about your life?”
Turner responded enthusiastically to her upcoming birthday. “I’m so looking forward to it,” she stated. “In the run-up to my 30th, I’ve been really doing a lot of self-work. I want to enter this new chapter of my life really confident in myself.” She revealed that she has been engaged in therapy to help prepare for this new phase.

King also highlighted a thoughtful message Turner shared on Instagram, which emphasized the themes of change and growth. “Life really is just a series of endings and beginnings,” King read from Turner’s post. She noted the importance of embracing these changes as opportunities for personal development.
As for her hopes for the next decade, Turner expressed a desire to work extensively while also carving out moments of peace. “I’m really looking forward to just spending time with my kids,” she said. “Going to the playground, taking them to museums. Really entering a calm phase of my life.”
