SNL Introduces The Rundown: A New Digital Series Starring Colin Jost, Chloe Fineman, Bowen Yang, and More – Watch It Now
Saturday Night Live Launches New Digital Series: The Rundown
In a move to engage fans beyond its traditional platform, Saturday Night Live (SNL) is introducing a new digital original series titled The Rundown. This short-form series will feature both current and past cast members, including notable names like Dana Carvey, Mikey Day, Chloe Fineman, Colin Jost, Bowen Yang, and Questlove.
The series debuted today and is available on Peacock, SNL’s YouTube channel, and various social media platforms such as Instagram, X, and Facebook. Each episode invites guests to Studio 8H to reminisce about their favorite segments from the show’s storied history. The selected clips will be added to the iconic “Rundown” board, culminating in a unique all-star episode.
Colin Jost, an SNL writer and co-anchor of “Weekend Update,” features prominently in the premiere episode. He delves into the complexities of crafting the Cold Open and shares his personal favorite from the show—a sketch involving Amy Poehler and Tina Fey titled “Katie Couric Interviews Sarah Palin.” Jost described the memory as particularly nostalgic, reflecting on the early days of his writing career. “It was just a great combination of Seth [Meyers], Tina, and Amy together,” he said. “You got to see them playing off each other, and I think they’re two of the best to ever do it.”
The Rundown will continue to release new episodes each Wednesday during SNL’s hiatus weeks, running through mid-June.
SNL is set to return on April 4, featuring host Jack Black and musical guest Jack White, airing at 11:30 p.m. ET / 8:30 p.m. PT on NBC and Peacock. The program is produced in association with Broadway Video, with Lorne Michaels serving as creator and executive producer.
