Sirāt: Exciting News About the Digital and Blu-Ray Release Dates for the Oscar-Nominated Rave Culture Film
Neon Launches Digital Release of Oscar-Nominated Film Sirāt
Neon has officially launched the digital release of Oliver Laxe’s Oscar-nominated Spanish feature, Sirāt, while announcing that the film will also be available on Blu-ray starting May 19.
The announcement comes as the film continues to screen in theaters across the United States, where it has grossed $1.6 million to date.
Sirāt stars Sergi López, known for his role in Pan’s Labyrinth, as a father who embarks on a journey with his son to a rave in the mountainous regions of southern Morocco. Their mission is to locate his daughter, Mar, who disappeared months earlier at one of these perpetual parties.
Set against a backdrop of electronic music and an atmosphere of unsettling freedom, the father and son distribute her photo repeatedly, grappling with waning hope. As they join a group of ravers heading to one last party in the desert, the journey pushes them to confront their own limitations.
In addition to directing, Laxe co-wrote the screenplay with Santiago Fillol. The film is produced by Domingo Corral, Laxe, Xavi Font, Pedro Almodóvar, Agustin Almodóvar, Esther Garcia, Oriol Mayme, Mani Mortazavi, and Andrea Queralt.
The upcoming Blu-ray release will include exclusive interviews with both Laxe and López, as well as additional bonus content.
With a 91% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, Sirāt made its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in 2025, where it was awarded the Jury Prize and has since garnered numerous accolades. The film claimed five prizes at the European Film Awards, including Best Cinematography and Best Editing. It also received the Fipresci Prize for Best International Feature at the Palm Springs International Film Festival, the award for Best Foreign Language Film from the Toronto Film Critics Association, and Best Score at the Los Angeles Film Critics Association, in addition to wins at the Chicago and Montclair film festivals.
Sirāt is among five Oscar-nominated films for 2026 on Neon’s slate, alongside Sentimental Value, which secured the Best International Feature Film award, The Secret Agent, It Was Just An Accident, and Arco.
