Shaquille O’Neal Draws Line on Clickbait Speculation
Shaquille O’Neal has publicly declared he is "done with" the clickbait rumors surrounding his personal life. This statement follows the publication of a photo featuring the basketball legend alongside a friend’s wife, sparking speculation online.
In a recent interview with PEOPLE, O’Neal discussed his upcoming event, Shaq’s Fun House, scheduled during the Super Bowl in February. The retired NBA star emphasized his commitment to authenticity as he looks ahead to 2026. “My favorite thing is always saying, ‘image is reality,’” O’Neal remarked, criticizing the unjust nature of online rumors.
He affirmed that he will not shy away from taking pictures with friends or fans, but expressed frustration over misleading narratives that arise from such interactions. "Nothing is going to stop me from taking pictures," he said, adding that when others manipulate these moments for clicks, it detracts from the reality of those experiences.

O’Neal acknowledged the influence of clickbait, stating, "Listen, everybody wants their page to be famous, I understand it. You have to understand, you don’t go to people’s wives. That’s something you just don’t do."
As he moves past these controversies, the retired Lakers star is gearing up to host his popular Super Bowl party in San Francisco next month. He explained that he initiated this event to provide a lively alternative to typical Super Bowl gatherings, which he described as often dull, with people merely socializing without much entertainment.
“If we’re going to charge people to get into parties, we want you to have fun,” O’Neal said, highlighting that the party will feature carnival rides, refreshments, and performances from notable artists.
This year’s lineup includes T-Pain, Tiësto, and O’Neal’s son, Myles. “It’s going to be great weather and a great time,” he assured attendees.
