Scott Adkins and Lewis Tan Join Forces in the Action Thriller ‘Deadlocked’; Film Mode Entertainment to Handle Sales
Scott Adkins and Lewis Tan are set to star in the upcoming film Deadlocked, which revolves around a deadly siege that targets a group of jurors.
Pre-production has commenced, with Tan collaborating on the action design alongside a fight choreographer, while Roel Reiné, known for Classified, will direct. The screenplay is penned by Collin Armstrong, and several production companies, including Film Mode Entertainment, Vault Entertainment, Rebel Entertainment, and In Tandem Productions, are attached to the project. Filming is expected to begin later this year.
Film Mode Entertainment will present the project to buyers at the upcoming Cannes Film Festival as part of its global sales launch.
Deadlocked follows a routine jury site visit that escalates into chaos when a mercenary kill team, led by Hewitt (Adkins), attacks the location in search of a secret ledger revealing citywide corruption. Inside, a disgraced ex-cop-turned-bailiff (Tan) must defend the surviving jurors against the attackers while uncovering a traitor among them.
