Savannah Bananas’ Jackson Olson Joins Season 35 of ‘Dancing With The Stars’
Season 35 of Dancing with the Stars Welcomes Jackson Olson as New Contestant
Dancing with the Stars has officially added a new celebrity to its Season 35 roster: Jackson Olson, the second baseman for the Savannah Bananas. Disney announced his participation during its upfront presentation on Tuesday.
Olson is the third contestant confirmed for the upcoming season, following the announcement of Maura Higgins from The Traitors and Ciara Miller from Summer House. These names were unveiled at Disney’s recent Get Real unscripted TV event last month.
Disney has stated that the remaining Season 35 celebrities, along with their professional dance partners, will be disclosed on Wednesday, September 2, during an exclusive segment on Good Morning America.
While a premiere date for Season 35 has yet to be revealed, ABC has confirmed the show will return this fall. Fans can expect the series to simulcast live on ABC and Disney+, with episodes available for streaming on Hulu the following day.
The previous season of Dancing with the Stars garnered significant attention, particularly among younger viewers, resulting in one of its largest audiences in years. Season 34 achieved the highest-rated finale in nearly a decade, with the finale alone capturing 72 million votes and nearly half a billion votes across the entire season.
The series is produced in front of a live audience by BBC Studios, with Conrad Green as showrunner and executive producer. Ryan O’Dowd also serves as an executive producer, alongside co-executive producer Deena Katz.
In addition to his athletic pursuits, Olson is recognized as a content creator, sharing insights on baseball, family life, and food. His engaging storytelling invites followers into his world, resonating with authenticity and warmth.
