Sarah Steele Joins NBC’s ‘Brilliant Minds’ for Season 2
Sarah Steele, known for her performances in The Good Fight and The Good Wife, has been confirmed to join the cast of NBC’s Brilliant Minds for its second season, taking on a recurring guest star role. The show airs Mondays at 10 p.m. on NBC and is available the following day on Peacock.
Steele will make her debut in episode 211, titled "The Boy Who Feels Everything," set to air on January 5. In this episode, she portrays Sofia, a new patient who presents a medical mystery that proves challenging for Dr. Oliver Wolf, played by Zachary Quinto. Sofia’s bold demeanor leads to a quick friendship with Wolf after an unexpected encounter.
Inspired by the life and work of author and physician Oliver Sacks, Brilliant Minds follows the unconventional neurologist Dr. Oliver Wolf and his team of interns as they delve into the complexities of the human mind while navigating their own relationships and mental health issues.
In addition to Quinto, the cast features Tamberla Perry, Ashleigh LaThrop, Alex MacNicoll, Aury Krebs, Spence Moore II, Teddy Sears, Donna Murphy, John Clarence Stewart, Brian Altemus, and Al Calderon. Bellamy Young will also appear as a recurring guest star during the season.
Michael Grassi serves as the writer and executive producer of the series, with a team of executive producers that includes Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Leigh London Redman, Lee Toland Krieger, DeMane Davis, Jasmine Russ, Henrik Bastin, Jonathan Cavendish, Andy Serkis, and Shefali Malhoutra. The production companies involved are Berlanti Productions, Fabel Entertainment, The Imaginarium, Grassi Productions, and Tavala, in association with Warner Bros. Television and Universal Television.
Steele is currently filming her role as Marissa Gold in the third season of Elsbeth, a spinoff of The Good Wife. She has been a prominent figure in The Good Fight, where she was a series regular for all six seasons. Her film credits include the A24 feature You Hurt My Feelings, alongside Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Viena and the Fantomes, featuring Dakota Fanning. Steele has also appeared in Ask For Jane and Speech & Debate, reprising her role from the off-Broadway production.
Her television resume includes appearances in Girls (HBO), Nurse Jackie (Showtime), Bull (CBS), and Master of None (Netflix). She is represented by Gersh and Untitled.
