Santa Monica’s Main Street Welcomes Our Furry Friends This Sunday
Main Street to Host Santa Monica’s Annual Day of Dog Festival This Sunday
Main Street in Santa Monica will transform into a vibrant celebration of canine companionship this Sunday, as the community gathers for the much-anticipated Day of Dog festival. This annual event, which honors the special bond between humans and their furry friends, promises an array of activities including races, yoga sessions, and foam parties.
Attendees can look forward to a doggie pool party featuring Canine Cabanas, Dog Races, and a Foam Party for Pups, along with a Doggy Brunch and a Super-Hero Photo Booth. Among the festival’s highlights is the unique opportunity to participate in yoga sessions with adoptable puppies. Proceeds from the event will support the Just Love Animals Society, highlighting the festival’s commitment to animal welfare.
As the largest dog festival in the United States, the Day of Dog is a noteworthy event for both pet owners and dog lovers. “This is the event of the year,” said Brit Johnson, 29, whose Labradoodle, Donkey, has become a regular at the festival. “In fact, it’s the best singles event for people with pets in L.A.,” she added, pointing to the event’s social significance.
As preparations are underway, the excitement among attendees is palpable, signaling yet another successful year for this beloved Santa Monica tradition.
