Rue Faces DEA Agents in the New Season 3 Trailer of ‘Euphoria’
HBO’s “Euphoria” Season 3 Trailer Unveiled Ahead of April Premiere
The third season of HBO’s critically acclaimed series Euphoria is on the horizon, with the network releasing a new trailer to generate excitement. Set to air Sundays at 9 p.m. starting April 12, 2026, the season promises to explore the lives of its characters several years after high school graduation, signifying a notable time jump for the storyline.
In the recently released trailer, Rue, portrayed by Zendaya, finds herself entangled in legal troubles, facing interrogation from Drug Enforcement Administration agents regarding her alleged activities in Mexico. The brief glimpse also hints at the evolving dynamics between key characters, including Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) and Maddie (Alexa Demie).
Sam Levinson returns as the creator and executive producer of the eight-episode season. This installment will delve into the lives of childhood friends grappling with themes of faith, redemption, and the nature of evil. The cast includes returning series regulars Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Eric Dane, Jacob Elordi, and Maude Apatow, among others. Guest stars for Season 3 will feature notable names such as Sharon Stone, Rosalía, and Marshawn Lynch.
Production for the upcoming season concluded in November 2025 in Los Angeles, aided by a $19.4 million tax credit from California. This season arrives four years after the conclusion of Season 2, which was highly successful.
Colman Domingo, who plays Ali Muhammed, shared insights about this season, stating, “We’re gonna have a devastatingly gorgeous, epic season that I think is breaking the mold of television.” He added that the narrative would further explore the depths of his character’s backstory, intertwining with Rue’s journey.
Noteworthy is the decision to film Season 3 using a new Kodak motion picture film stock in both 35mm and 65mm formats. This groundbreaking choice allows for expansive imagery that reflects the characters’ transition into adulthood and the complexities of their new world outside high school.
Euphoria is based on an Israeli series of the same name created by Ron Leshem and Daphna Levin, with Levinson playing a central role in its adaptation.
For fans looking forward to the return of this captivating series, the wait is nearly over.
