Robbie G.K. Shares Exciting Storylines to Look Forward to in Season 2 of ‘Heated Rivalry’ Featuring Scott and Kip
Robbie G.K. expressed a desire to delve deeper into the aftermath of Kip’s pivotal kiss with Scott (François Arnaud) in the upcoming Season 1 of Heated Rivalry.
In a discussion with People, the Canadian actor shared insights on how the highly anticipated second season of the series, created by Jacob Tierney, could further explore the dynamics of this romantic relationship. G.K. portrays a graduate art student and smoothie barista, while Arnaud plays a high-profile, closeted hockey player. G.K. commented, “We catch Scott and Kip on the very top of the rollercoaster of our storyline, and I think that there’s a whole lot that could be explored after the fact. So I’d like to see some of that.”
The series is based on Rachel Reid‘s Game Changers book series. The first novel centers on the budding romance between Scott and Kip, whose public kiss significantly alters the dynamics between main characters and rival hockey stars Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams) and Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie). This moment leads Ilya to visit Shane at his private cottage, where they eventually confess their emotions for each other. G.K. remarked on the “unbelievable” audience response to the series, stating, “To be here on this carpet, let alone here in Los Angeles, and the impact the show has had, so I think every day it’s becoming more and more real and settling in, but yeah, it’s great.”
While the direction for Season 2 remains uncertain, it appears that the focus might shift toward Scott and Kip as The Long Game serves as a direct sequel to Shane and Ilya’s story. Scott and Kip are slated for a supporting role in Common Goal, the fourth entry in Reid’s series. In addition, the author is currently working on a seventh entry titled Unrivaled, which promises to conclude the Hollanov trilogy.
