In a striking new teaser for “2.0,” BTS leader RM channels the aura of a formidable boss reminiscent of the 1970s.
Posted on Tuesday, March 31, the 30-second preview begins with a noisy gathering of men lined up in a dim hallway as an elevator doors slide open. The chatter abruptly ceases as the well-dressed individuals inside—likely BTS—come into view, though viewers only see RM’s face.
The camera focuses on RM, sporting a slick ’70s hairstyle and aviator sunglasses, gazing intimidatingly at those outside.
Comments on YouTube reflected fans’ excitement, with one user noting, “Kim Namjoon is on next level… Totally mafia’s vibe,” while another remarked, “RM is looking like a typical villain from K drama.”
“2.0” is set to be the next single from BTS’s upcoming album, ARIRANG, which features 14 tracks. This teaser follows the recent debut of lead single “SWIM,” which launched at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The entire album ascended to the top of the Billboard 200, achieving 641,000 equivalent album units in its first week, as reported by Luminate.
On the same day, BTS released a live performance video for “SWIM,” showcasing the group performing the track at an indoor pool while dressed in tailored suits, a visual hallmark of the ARIRANG album era. This April, the group will embark on a global stadium tour in support of the album, marking their first full-length release since 2020’s Be, which also topped the U.S. albums chart.
