Country Music Stars Reba McEntire and Rex Linn Celebrate Their Partnership at the Grammys
During the 2026 Grammy Awards red carpet, Reba McEntire shared insights about her creative and personal partnership with fiancé Rex Linn. The beloved country artist, 70, expressed her enthusiasm for working collaboratively with Linn, who is 69, highlighting their longstanding connection that spans over three decades.
Reflecting on their relationship, McEntire stated, "Rex and I have the best time working together. We’ve done movies together, television shows together, dramady and sitcoms." The couple got engaged in December 2024 and continues to shine together in their latest project, the NBC sitcom Happy’s Place. Previous collaborations include roles in Big Sky, The Hammer, Young Sheldon, and The Gambler Returns: The Luck of the Draw.
Their journey began when they first met on the set of The Gambler Returns in 1991, but it wasn’t until January 2020 that they rekindled their relationship. Shortly after announcing their romance later that year, Linn proposed on Christmas Eve. Reflecting on her decision to accept his proposal, McEntire remarked, “You know, when he asked me to marry him, I said, ‘If we can work together, then still go home and talk, this might work!’ Well, it worked."
On the red carpet, McEntire fondly referred to Linn as the "best award show date," adding, "He’s the best date ever." The couple is currently enjoying their engagement and has no immediate plans to set a wedding date.
As they continue to build both a professional and personal future together, McEntire expresses confidence in their dynamic, solidifying their partnership as both a creative collaboration and a loving relationship.
