Rams Extend Contracts for Coach Sean McVay and General Manager Les Snead
SANTA CLARA — The Los Angeles Rams announced Monday that they have signed head coach Sean McVay and general manager Les Snead to contract extensions, securing leadership as they enter a pivotal offseason.
McVay, 40, and Snead, 55, were approaching the final years of their current contracts. McVay has led the team since 2017, while Snead has served as general manager since 2012. Both executives had previously received contract extensions following Super Bowl appearances in 2018 and 2021, although they opted not to sign prior offers ahead of the current season.
Under McVay’s leadership, the Rams have achieved notable success, reaching the playoffs seven times and competing in two Super Bowls over his nine seasons with the franchise. This past season, the team finished with a 12-5 record and advanced to the NFC Championship Game, where they were defeated by the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks are set to face the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.
With McVay and Snead now committed for the foreseeable future, the Rams will shift their focus to potential contract extensions for key players, including receiver Puka Nacua, defensive lineman Kobie Turner, edge rusher Byron Young, and offensive lineman Steve Avila.
