Radial Entertainment Secures Global Rights for ‘The Isolate Thief’ Starring Sean Bean, Mackenzie Foy, and Odeya Rush
Radial Entertainment Acquires Worldwide Rights to ‘The Isolate Thief’
Radial Entertainment has secured worldwide distribution rights to The Isolate Thief, a new Western film from Nashville-based Hideout Pictures, which previously gained acclaim in the genre with Old Henry.
Directed by John Suits, known for his work on 3022, and penned by Kevin Lefler, The Isolate Thief features a prominent cast, including Mackenzie Foy (Interstellar), Odeya Rush (Lady Bird), Jack Kesy (The Killer), Ty Simpkins (The Whale), Martin Sensmeier (Frybread Face and Me), Joe Pantoliano (Bad Boys for Life), and Sean Bean (The Lord of the Rings franchise).
Set during a brutally cold winter in the Civil War era, the film follows a young woman tasked with managing a remote Union Army outpost. When she uncovers a stash of stolen gold, a ruthless gang of outlaws seeks to claim it, transforming her home into a battleground as she fights for her survival.
Jordan Fields, Senior Vice President of Acquisitions at Radial Entertainment, and Shannon Houchins, Co-Founder of Hideout Pictures, confirmed the deal, marking another collaboration following their work on Old Henry. Houchins noted, “Since Old Henry, we’ve been constantly asked when we’d return to the Western genre. It was important to us to preserve what made that film special, which is why we prioritized keeping the same team intact. We’re thrilled to once again be working with Jordan and the Old Henry team at Radial.”
The Isolate Thief is produced by Houchins alongside Vince Jolivette, Travis Mann, and Margaret Miller, with executive producers Dave Roberts, Trevor O’Neil, Potsy Ponciroli, and Noor Ahmed. Radial Entertainment’s rights extend across theatrical, home entertainment, and ancillary channels, setting the stage for a strategic multi-platform rollout, including a U.S. theatrical release slated for later this year.
Fields described the film as “a unique Western, traditional in the best ways and unconventional in the best ways,” emphasizing the blend of tension, action, compassion, and frontier spirit achieved by the talented team involved.
The film follows Hideout Pictures’ success with Old Henry, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival in 2021 and received accolades as the best feature film at the Almería Western Film Festival, as well as a spot on the National Board of Review’s list of Top Ten Independent Films that year.
The distribution deal was negotiated by Fields for Radial Entertainment and Noor Ahmed for Hideout Pictures. Radial Entertainment was established last July by L.A.-based Oaktree Capital Management following the merger of its Shout! Studios and FilmRise brands, which will continue to operate independently.
