### Christmas Day Meeting at Sandringham
On December 25, 2025, Prince William made a notable introduction of his three children to John Loughrey, a dedicated royalist and admirer of his late mother, Princess Diana. The encounter occurred during the royal family’s traditional church outing at the Church of St. Mary Magdalene on the Sandringham Estate.
After the morning service, the Prince of Wales, 43, approached Loughrey in the crowd. “John, how are you?” he inquired warmly before inviting his children—Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7—to greet Loughrey.
“Hello,” Prince Louis said, following his father’s lead, as William introduced their well-wisher to the children. Princess Charlotte chimed in with a cheerful “Happy Christmas.”

Loughrey, 70, took the opportunity to shake hands with George and share a heartfelt remark. “Nanny Diana would be ever so proud of you. Proud of you all,” he said, referencing Princess Diana’s enduring legacy.
“Thank you,” replied Prince George with a smile, while Prince William acknowledged Loughrey’s sentiment, saying, “That’s very kind of you, John.”
John Loughrey is known for his enthusiasm for the British royal family, often seen camping out for significant events, including royal births and important engagements. He has met Prince William multiple times, including a recent appearance on December 9 for a charity event, marking William’s 20 years as Patron of Centrepoint, a charity championed by Princess Diana.

Loughrey expressed the unique joy of celebrating Christmas with the royals, telling reporters, “There’s something special about sharing Christmas Day with the royals at Sandringham.”
A brief video captured the young royals receiving gifts, with George, Charlotte, and Louis seen holding a giant teddy bear, prompting laughter from the group. Prince William remarked on the bear’s size, saying, “This is the same size as you, Louis!”
William and Loughrey continued sharing lighthearted banter, with Loughrey predicting George’s future height. “George is going to be tall, going to be about 6’4.” To which Prince William responded with a smile, “One day. Very happy Christmas.”

As they parted, Loughrey wished to relay his best regards to the rest of the family, stating, “George, give our best to all your family. And Diana would be ever so proud.”
Prince George, who is second in line to the throne, continues to gradually engage in royal responsibilities. Recently, he joined Prince William in helping prepare a holiday lunch for the unhoused, marking a significant moment in his royal education.
The Prince of Wales is also a royal patron of The Passage, a charity Princess Diana introduced to him when he was George’s age.

In a touching gesture, Prince George signed the visitors’ book at The Passage on the same page where his grandmother, Diana, and his father, William, had previously placed their names.
