Prep Talk: How El Camino Real’s Glassman Twins Inspire Their Teams
Sibling Athletes Shine: Glassman Twins Make Their Mark at El Camino Real
At El Camino Real, siblings Ryan and Remy Glassman are making significant contributions to their respective baseball and softball teams while vying for family bragging rights.
Ryan, a junior and first-year varsity baseball player, showcases impressive talent with a .412 batting average, leading the defending City Section champions. Last season, he was recognized as the top player on the junior varsity team.
In parallel, Remy, also a junior, is excelling on the softball field with 51 strikeouts over 30 innings pitched. She has made a statement in her varsity career by hitting multiple home runs, which she often highlights in friendly rivalry with her brother, who has yet to hit a home run.
The Glassman family includes another athlete, Ethan, an El Camino Real graduate currently pitching at Oakland University. Recently, Remy became an Israeli citizen with aspirations of joining the national softball team and competing in the 2028 Olympic Games.
As the twins push each other to succeed, their competitive dynamic fosters success for El Camino Real. However, their parents sometimes step in to remind them that both athletes can thrive, highlighting the importance of family support amidst the rivalry.
