Post Malone Reflects on His Return to Bud Light’s Super Bowl Commercials
Trending on Billboard
Post Malone’s fondness for Bud Light is well-known, and this year he shares that enjoyment with friends Shane Gillis and Peyton Manning in his fifth Super Bowl commercial for the brand. The ad showcases the lengths to which Post is willing to go for a good beer.
In the commercial, Post is joined by comedian Gillis and NFL Hall of Famer Manning, as the trio finds themselves in a series of humorous misadventures. “I’m just surprised they keep having me back on account of my behavior on set,” Post remarked with a laugh during a recent interview. “I’m way too much fun.”

In a recent Zoom conversation, Post revealed he was “somewhere in California” amidst “a lot of beautiful olives,” setting the stage for the wedding-themed commercial. The storyline follows an incident where a vendor accidentally lets a keg of Bud Light roll down a mountainside, prompting Post and his friends to take swift action to recover it.
“I’m definitely the fastest,” he said. “I’m for certain the youngest. I’d like to think that I’m still spry. I crack a lot. But I’m really explosive out of the gate…they both have athletic builds, but I really think what makes me an outlier in this situation is just my explosiveness.”
Though Post has only attended two weddings—his father and stepmother’s and a close friend’s—he notes that a good wedding requires just one essential ingredient: “True love. Isn’t that a sweet answer?”
In conjunction with the commercial, Bud Light, the NFL’s official beer sponsor, is offering a nationwide $60 keg rebate for fans aged 21 and over.
On Super Bowl weekend, fans will also have the chance to see Post perform live at Fort Mason in an intimate concert titled Bud Light Presents Post Malone & Buddies on February 6. Post teased to Billboard that he and his team have been diligently working on new music, stating, “We’ve been working very, very diligently on new music. And we have 45 songs. It’s just a matter of finishing said songs. And the schedule has been so very busy. So we’re working and working, but there will be new music by then… Allegedly.”
