Alleged Armed Suspect Shot by Police in South Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES – An investigation is currently underway following a police shooting involving an alleged armed suspect in South Los Angeles early Friday morning. Authorities responded to the incident around 5 a.m. near the intersection of Normandie Avenue and West 76th Street, a residential area close to Raymond Avenue Elementary School and a local church.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), officers arrived at the scene after receiving reports of a suspect armed with a knife. During the encounter, police said the suspect was struck by gunfire and subsequently transported to an area hospital for medical treatment. Fortunately, no injuries were reported among officers involved in the incident.
