210 Freeway Closed Amid Police Activity in Sylmar
A section of the 210 Freeway in the northern San Fernando Valley was closed Tuesday afternoon due to a police investigation. The closure occurred on the westbound side near Sylmar, specifically around the Bledsoe Street overpass.
Authorities responded to the scene following reports of an officer-involved shooting. At this time, details regarding the incident and any potential injuries remain unclear.
As the investigation unfolded, more than a dozen LAPD patrol SUVs were observed on the freeway. Police appeared to take one person into custody during the proceedings.
While the westbound lanes were closed for the investigation, the eastbound lanes remained open. The Bledsoe Street bridge over the freeway was also closed to traffic.
