PNAU’s relationship with The Warning began over a decade ago when Littlemore was working on a project in Mexico. At that time, The Warning was comprised of the Villarreal Vélez sisters—Daniela, Paulina, and Alejandra—who were on the cusp of stardom.
After an initial introduction, the sisters spent time in PNAU’s studio in downtown Los Angeles. The collaboration that resulted in “Tu Corazón (Your Heart)” is a testament to their enduring partnership.
“Tu Corazón is a flash of ecstatic dance, coming at you from our sister city of Monterrey,” shared Littlemore. “A once-storied adventure, now a booming jam—punk, love, and all wild. Try as you might to sit still; I challenge you to do so. You have been warned!”
The Warning reflected on their experience, stating, “This song is about opening your heart to every beautiful thing this world has to offer through community and the people we love. We had a great time working with PNAU creating something this unique and fun! It was a very nostalgic process for us, and we loved connecting with our past selves through this song. We are grateful to have been a part of this record and we love Pete and Nick very much!”
The official music video for “Tu Corazón” was filmed in Monterrey and is now available for viewing.
Emerging from Sydney’s vibrant rave scene, PNAU has achieved significant global success, securing No. 1 hits in various countries. Their notable collaboration with Elton John on the 2012 remix album Good Morning to the Night marked a turning point, propelling them to international acclaim. They replicated this success with the 2021 single “Cold Heart,” featuring Dua Lipa, which became a global hit.
“Tu Corazón” follows The Warning’s single “Kerosene” and a series of high-profile performances, notably at Lollapalooza events across South America. The band will soon support YUNGBLUD on his IDOLS World Tour in the United States and the United Kingdom.
PNAU’s recent collaborations include tracks with the Italian trio MEDUZA, “Rollin,” and “Light Me Up” with Kungs, in addition to a range of remixes for artists such as Coldplay and Tame Impala.
The current lineup of PNAU marks a return to its original members. Sam Littlemore, Nick’s brother, officially joined in 2016 but concluded his tenure after contributing to the production of “Tu Corazón.” This track was recorded prior to their parting.
To celebrate their new release, PNAU has announced a 12-date tour along Australia’s East Coast this June and July. They will debut their live show on May 1 at Foro Indie Rocks! in Mexico City.
