Perris Man Arrested on Child Molestation Allegations

A 57-year-old man from Perris has been arrested following allegations of child molestation and sexual assault involving his adopted or foster children, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

Napoleon Cerda is accused of committing these offenses over the span of nearly a decade. Authorities revealed that the investigation into the allegations began after they received information concerning his actions against the two children.

Cerda was taken into custody on February 27 and subsequently booked into the Coys Byrd Detention Center on multiple counts of lewd acts with a child. It remains unclear whether he has secured bail at this time.

As the investigation unfolds, officials believe there may be other victims. They are urging anyone with relevant information to step forward and assist with the ongoing inquiry.
